At this moment it is July 1st, 2015. Matthew and I decided to have some Pre-UIP adventures, which lead us to the exploration of San Francisco. We began our adventure on Monday at his cousin's house near Dallas, Texas. We arrived there in the morning and stayed there for the night. Early next morning we were off to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport and traveling to the San Francisco International Airport. The flight was approximately 3 hours and we arrived in California at around 11:00 am. This gave us all day to explore San Francisco. We checked into the hotel and used Uber to travel the Union Square. The city was beautiful but it required us to walk a lot. I haven't been working out so I was pretty out of shape. The walking took a toll on me but we walked nearly 6 miles from Union Square to the Golden Gate Bridge so that was an amazing experience. I also tried In-In Out Burgers for the first time. It was delicious. Within 9 hours we saw most of the tourist spots in San Francisco. We slept at the hotel and now we're at the airport ready to take off to Seoul. As we prepare to take off, the areas that I feel confident in my international experience is adaptation, thirst for adventure, and I've traveled international before. I've been to Belize and Spain so I feel that I enjoy traveling a lot and I can adapt in situations that may cause panic to some people. With that said, I am ready for the trip of a lifetime! Be prepared for pictures because I will be taking many more!

I think this is certainly the beginning of a set of memories that will endure for a lifetime. I am excited to see how everything will play out in this program. Which events are you most excited for on the program schedule? I am really excited for the language and historical aspects, personally.
